Philippine Studies

Philippine Studies is an internationally refereed journal that publishes a wide variety of scholarly and original articles on Philippine history, literature, culture, and society. It promotes the theoretical and interdisciplinary study of the Philippines in the humanities and the social sciences, and encourages comparative, transnational, and global perspectives. A forum for friendly and constructive debate, it accepts the work of established as well as younger scholars and welcomes contributions that can be appreciated by specialists and nonspecialists in the Philippines and across the world. Founded in 1953, Philippine Studies (ISSN 0031–7837; E-ISSN 2012–2489) is published quarterly by the Ateneo de Manila University.
